My brother-in-law captured the parching of fall beautifully here. And while I wish for the colorful outpouring of the new season, something in me longs to hold on to the freedom of summer.

He and my sister are here visiting, and they have just one week left until it's time for them to go. I can already feel the pinching of their absence...

That's a great picture to represent your feelings, dear!

A big hug.

The drying sunflower seed will feed all creatures great and small, then sow themselves to be renewed so you can enjoy their joyous faces.. and hopefully your sister will also return so you can again walk hand in hand :)

Have a blessed day, Allison
