A stormy day at the lake found me wandering down tiny plank avenues, watching coot feed their young with the grasses that grow in their watery underworld.



They hid between the boats and called to one another...



...lost and separated among barques when they would do better to stick together in this giant world.



If you hear me chirping, do come quickly.
