One of the advantages to living in a shuttered world is that sometimes people redecorate! Voilà a discarded piece of beauty I discovered driving through town recently.

I stopped the car... looked furtively around... and snatched it up. It's perfectly legal, but some would wonder what I could possibly want with an old run-down shutter, and I did not have my sweeties along to help me drag it into the car. (They're always my moral support for this kind of thing).

This is how I dressed it up at home (to the surprise of hubby, who asked me if I was collecting mismatched shutters for our new house to save money. Such a man thing to say!)

Like it?

I think if I was driving by your home, I'd try to snatch it up into my car and drive away;)
Love it!

Even if it was attached to a house, I think I would have to have that shutter. That's why I always carry my burglar, I mean emergency, tools with me in the truck. :)

I love finds on the curb, I passed a few thinking I should stop and upon returning have found them gone, so you need to be quick.

I love it. We came across alot of stuff like this while on my birthday tour of Taos this weekend. I could have gotten in alot of trouble shopping but I maintained. Now back home and relishing the wonderful weekend.

Love it! It's so cute! And that is a very nice way to use it. If we every move out of this house, I'd love to move to one that has room for shutters.

What a charming vignette it makes. I love that color green. The bird house makes it all the adorable.
