Unlike Northern America, we are having unseasonably warm weather: 13° yesterday!
I sent my little darlings outdoors to soak in the sun before the next onslaught of winter fury. Hours later this is what I found - an Indian campfire and tiny hands fashioning homemade "bricks". Naturally, the natives were lathered in nice, gooey, spring mud. Bain obligé!
Vittals for the autochthonic of my own backyard. My heart swells.

Sweet moments of life:-):-)
Perfect captures Allison!
Ha, Ha. They're turning into quite the outdoormen and women :).
I miss that my children are no longer at the age where they did things like this. All I have left are memories. Hang on tight to yours. Tho, now being a grand parent I can see it all over again.
Looks like lots of fun, especially with that nice snack at the end! Reminds me of the time I tried to build an Indian tipi made from large sticks, towels, and blankets in the back yard, only it was a grey windy day and the tipi didn't last more than three minutes. Enjoy the sunshine!
We actually have an "indian" village in our woods from my girls pretending days...oh, how I miss those days! Enjoy your precious children and the vittals. I know you are one proud mama. Carla
How sweet is that! I liked Joe's comment - only from an outdoorsman...
A lovely day and great imagination offered, well worth the treats.
Hi Allison, she has a lot to teach we adults about imagination and play.
'he who has eyes ears let them hear and see' least we forget.
hugs,
Pam
I want to spend the day at your house. It's much more fun than going to work! What great photos and the vittals look delicious.
What a cool campfire! So great to be able to get out & play. One of the best thing about being a kid is playing in the mud. Great excuse for moms to do it too :)
What a great idea and so much fun for the kids.
That is so cute. I love finding the little things kids make on their own. :)
Can I come and play? I'll bring old spoons and some empty margerine containers. :)
C'est vrai qu'il fait beaucoup trop chaud pour la saison. Je me demande comment nous pourrons skier la semaine prochaine. Ce sera particulier. Mais c'est vrai que ce beau temp fait du bien.
What fun they had. I can remember making mud pies when we were little.
