Driving through the picturesque countryside of the Franches Montagnes toward La Chaux-de-Fonds yesterday, I jumped out of the car whenever my brother-in-law would give in to my pleadings for a photo op.

Fortunately for me, the great Uncle Michel loves this area and was swift to oblige.

Stately but inviting churches pepper the heart of Swiss watchmaking country.

Wow! And stately they are!
What a slope the last church is built upon....I really hope the church goers remember their park brakes!

The nicely pruned trees in the first one are unique to keep them small.lovely shots and I am glad he stopped for you. When I drive I go slow in some areas and have to pull over for traffic a lot and stop often.

That is a beautiful town and church. You are just like me, I've been known to make others stop so that I can take pictures! Carla
