The house is frozen like the tiny freezer in my kitchen.

Why, you ask? Ah...that is the question! Someone forgot to order heating oil this year - and we're trying not to speculate as to which one of us that might be. ;)

Though the radiators are maxed out, the floors and walls are icy cold. Showers are an arctic experience, reminiscent of the Polar Bears who swim in Chicago's Lake Michigan each January... it took me one full hour to stop shivering after washing my hair.

It's a good thing the sun is shining; I find it amazing how quickly one becomes aware of the commodities only God can provide!

Oh no! I am sitting here in front of my laptop drenched in sweat! Put fan heaters everywhere!

I worry about that happening...But with the wood stove I worry no more.
I can't say that I have ever done the polar plunge but my hubby and some of the kids have. It's like taking a sauna and then jumping in a snow bank...I'm too chicken.

Terrible! It must have been the Russian...although he is not fond of currents and certainly this would fall into that category. Frozen showers? You should hop over to Kansas where it was 81 (yes, eighty-one) on Tuesday. It is not so today...

As I listen to my furnace kicking in I am happy to have natural gas so I don't have to order anything. It is snowing here.

Brrrr....and wet hair is the worst:)
When I come out of the pool in the morning it freezes like one block of ice atop my head. I always wonder if I bump it- if it will break off in one piece too...?
Ach!

hugs dear friend. Have a lovely weekend and I hope who ever forgot the purchase....does so soon;)

What a perfect time to take advantage of hand knits! :D Do you have a bathtub you can put boiled water into, so you don't have to freeze trying to get clean?

I would rather have dirty hair. I can't stand a cold shower. This unfortunate incident has happen to us as well. It was most definitely my husbands fault.

Luckily we have a woodstove and a heat pump so we didn't have to remember to order anything. Hope you get a new supply of oil soon.
