Tuscany and its doors!
This one leads into a cathedral...
...a quiet sanctum of darkness and opulence where the faithful leave candles of prayer burning to the Holy One.
Perhaps an Italian Mama lives here and prepares pasta al pesto for those she loves. (Side Note: if you are ever in Tuscany... order that!).
If you could pick, which door would be the one to your house?

all they are somehow charming but for living I would chose nr 2
love the doors
Number one would be my backdoor and number five would be my front door. Love all of them.
Loving this series of shots, Allison. The colors are terrific. :)
the first green one with the heavy ivy above it!
(Randy is going to love the first shot!) :)
Welcome Back...it's going to be a real pleasure traveling through Tuscany with you..
I could find a place for each of these entrances. They all have such a warmth and romance about them.
I would take the bottom door. I am trying to get some pesto put away this week.My helper is fickle about when.
The one where the Italian mama made speg. for me...love the pictures, look forward to more.
I think the second one for me. Look at all that ivy! Although I do like all of them...
Allison, these photos are a door able,,,M
Oh...the green one with the little panes of glass. But the rounded top and dark red is so beautiful. Gracious - such color!
These doors are beautiful. Each one is unique. I loved the arched door surrounded by the exposed brick. It just looks old and rustic. It looks like it has stood there stately for many a years. Wonder what is behind it?
:)
You know me. I love the color of the first door.
Allison, doors are such unique and important parts of buildings and many people overlook the details. Thanks for sharing these - and for noticing them too.
I choose door number one.. it suits my old well worn style with a bit of turquoise flair.. with that said I love them all Alli.. which one did you choose?
hugs,
Pam
I really like the first green door
but I suppose any of them would do me!
I'm not fussy,
any door to any house in Italy
would be appreciated!!

I have to go with door number one...I'm glad you're back and by the photos it looks like you had a wonderful time. Tuscany is a place I would love to visit.
