Has anyone ever told you how efficient the Swiss can be? Not an inch of this place goes unswept, uncared for, or untended.

And in case you don't believe me - in case you think it sounds too good to be true - here's a picture of how we recycle around here.

Some days it reminds me of the Jetsons.

Other days all this perfection drives me stark raving mad.

But over the years it does become downright comforting. I feel it whenever I get off the airplane and drive home through Disneyland; the order and predictability just seem to grow on you.

Nonetheless, I'm glad to be married to a bohemian, though Swiss through and through. Did I tell you our weeds were officially knee-high by the fourth of July this year?

It feels like we're breaking the law!

Perfection can be down right boring.. bohemian with a touch of whimsy is more fun.
Your weeds are as high as corn, maybe no one will notice the difference, Alli.

Can't accuse them of not caring about recycling:)

I don't know Allison...Sometimes I think while driving around here that we could be a bit more efficient. The places I see but just don't have the heart to photograph...Let's just say I would rather live next to these recycle bins than those farms ;0

I think it looks really funky and I like that. We have recycled now for 25 years. I wish recycling could look so attractive in America. I'm also a fan of tall grass!!!

Wow, efficient might be an understatement. It does kind of look like the Jetsons!

So, is there a guy that comes around and polishes the recycling bins? They are cleaner than my refrigerator! :)

Do they not have one of these containers for weeds? :-) These are wonderful, we could use some here.
