New fingerless mitts for little darling, completed just last night. Why is it these are so therapeutic to make?

I had left them by her place at the breakfast table to find before school, and was brushing my teeth in the bathroom this morning when she came beaming in to show me.

That smile makes me want to knit her a thousand more.

Oh the memories of suprising my children when they were growing up in just such a way. Those moments live in a mom's heart forever. Thanks for warming my spirit today.

It's always nice when the kids appreciate what you do for them.

Oh Wow Allison
they turned out absolutely beautiful!

I love them and I am sure that your daughter will too.

What a lovely surprise for her and you knitted them with such love.

I hope that you don't get weather that is too cold
and if you do
will you please keep it tover there and not send it here
but if it has to come our way will you please send it with some lovely handwarmers!

Hope your lovely daughter "wears them well" (as we say in Ireland)

Have a great weekend.

Allison, very nice looking mittens, even without the fingertips. Now about the feet.

ADORABLE! I was thinking, as I was sitting at Lukey's practice with hands too cold to knit, that I need a pair of fingerless gloves/mittens for nights like this. I have to finish the girls' blankets first then I will try to tackle your pattern.

You are a very talented woman: writer, knitter, mother who can convince small child to pose without squirrling around for such a lovely picture. ;)

Love to you and yours!
Debbie
